Integrated Fixed Route Peripherals

To enhance or complete fixed route efforts, many transit agencies may need peripheral technologies. RouteMatch works with several, trusted hardware providers to offer customers a solution that’s best suited for their goals, budget, riders and environment. Such peripherals also assist with FTA compliance and on-board data collection requirements. All peripheral devices are fully integrated into RouteMatch’s dispatching system.

Automated Voice Annunciators (AVA):
RouteMatch offers a system which stores all of the pre-recorded announcements and text messages for the next stop voice and sign display for the entire system. Voice tone, gender and dialect are available for selection as well as alternate languages for recording. Storing and organization is easy, and ad hoc recording of news announcements, entry of text messages and maintenance is hassle-free.

Signage:

Signage offers transit agencies an opportunity to deliver information to riders and the general public. Transit agencies can provide:

  • Scheduled route data
  • Real-time route data
  • Next stop information
  • Advertising
  • Television programs

Depot signs:
The Depot sign gives transit agencies flexibility in the type of information displayed on their signage. Signs are configured so that RouteMatch can send data for the signs to display on a built-in browser window. The look and feel of the signs are controlled by the vehicle administrator.

Outdoor Transit Center LED Monitors:
Ideal for high pedestrian areas, this provides traveler information at the wayside. RouteMatch offers a ruggedized LED device.

Automated Passenger Counters (APC):
Automated Passenger Counters allow transit agencies to capture data in real-time. Collected passenger count information is stored directly to the RouteMatch CAD/AVL database and directly feeds to reports.
